The Manila Palm, scientifically known as Veitchia merrillii, is a small landscape palm extensively cultivated in Malaysia and the Philippines. It is characterized by its slender, grey trunks that are stiff and arching, adorned with green leaves.
During the summer, Manila Palms bloom with cream-colored flowers arranged in large clusters at the base of their canopy. Following the blossoming period, green light fruits appear, maturing into bright red fruits during winter.
Manila Palms are known for their rapid growth, capable of reaching heights of up to 7.62 meters (25 feet). They are valued for their ornamental appeal and are commonly used in landscaping to enhance tropical-themed gardens and landscapes.
